One Date Wonder – Definition

One Date Wanderer:

There are a lot of words for being promiscuous. Slut. Whore. Floozy. Harlot. Hooker. Hussy. Tramp. Vamp. Jezebel. Minx. Slattern. Wench. Nympho. Chelsea Handler.

I am not a whore. My promiscuity isn’t related to sex. In fact, in the last year, I’ve only been with one guy…who I dated for one glorious month. Instead, I am a Date Hussy. In the last year, I’ve been on over 100 dates.

Whereas a true whore looks to get love through sex, I’m not entirely sure I want: a relationship, love or sex. I just want magic.

I have become completely powerless under the cult of Disney. I’m waiting for my Prince Charming, for magic that makes birds and sea animals sing. The problem with magic, is that it’s just smoke and mirrors and you never really know what causes the magic to exist.

So, I’ve become somewhat of a dating goldilocks. Always trying out different guys. Never finding the magic. I go on date after date after date. I float through guys’ lives. I meander with guys I don’t even like hoping that if I go out with enough guys and keep an open mind, I’ll find but what I’m looking for.

Bottom line:  I go out with guys I don’t even like hoping that they’ll transform from frog to prince within one date.
